Chelsea practices exclusively immigration and nationality law, with a particular emphasis on complex removal defense, criminal and detention issues, LGBT applications, and family based cases. She graduated from the University of San Francisco School of Law where she focused on human rights and public interest law. From 2005 to 2008, she was an associate at the Law Office of Robert B. Jobe. Chelsea is presently of counsel for the immigration program of the National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR), a mentor attorney for the pro bono asylum program of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights, and she is co-counsel with various pro bono firms representing victims of worksite enforcement raids. She is also the immediate past co-chair of the National Lawyers Guild, San Francisco-Bay Area Chapter’ Immigration Committee, current Co-Chair of BALIF, the LGBT Bar Association, and the EOIR Liaison for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Northern California Chapter. Chelsea has published a number of articles and has presented on international human rights of women and LGBT individuals, asylum, criminal and family-based petitions.
